"Awesome, but... where's the credit?"

submission: blackflip

This is just like the DS game Polarium

http://www.gamespot.com/ds/puzzle/pol arium/index.html

No credit given, ripped off, GG...

Awesome though that it's on newgrounds, but sorry man, give credit where it's due :|

November 5, 2009

Author's Response:

have a look in the about section of the game to find the credits for polarium. anyway i will edit the game information on newgrounds and add the tribute to polarium, just forgot to put it there.

I Want to give this an incredible score, I really did.. Your voice acting for the first time was great, even if it wasn't your primary language. The art style and animation was pretty damn good too...

BUT... there is one thing that was truly bothering me.

This reeks of the part when you first meet Poo in Earthbound for the snes. He's goes through these tests that pretty much does exactly the same thing as you've done here.

....While I give you credit for taking it towards a different approach, the idea isn't new, and has been done before alot..

Granted, I really can't bash this for saying Earthbound was the only place this has happened and you need to credit it, i'm sure this has been written/mentioned before somewhere...... but I digress.

4/5, 0/10

Sorry man, great work... but I can't justify rating this with stars, but atleast you've got the 4 vote, people should see this :)

Author's Response:

Thanks for beeing honest men, but i actually think that 0 is a bit... harsh...
and if you read my comment you will find that i DIT give it credit, maybe not in the flash and maybe not enough, but im thinking in doing it ...earthbound is one of my favourite games, i love it... i just follow the advice (beeing original is that nobody knows what your influences are)...

I believe the game you're talking about is this.

http://www.playauditorium.com/

this may be the same in concept, but it still delievers quite nicely ((I only go so far in before I had to do other stuff))

Though, I could be wrong and maybe something even before this work... but I still think this is pretty neat...

Author's Response:

"pretty neat" = 1/10 score? That's pretty f*cked up man.

"Incredible"

date: August 28, 2009

Funny, I was wondering a few days ago if you'd ever release the last part and here it is ^_^

This series has to be one of the best i've seen in a long time, the story is fantastic and original, and the animation/artwork is incredible, even for sticks. ((the story takes it to another level as well :D ))

I'm impressed with this work, and I can't wait to see more! Enjoy your break and I think I can say we all hope to see from you soon again :D

RepliCat

"Original Awesomeness!"

submission: RepliCat
date: May 9, 2009

This game reminded me alot like the Xbox Live game: Braid. A very well done puzzle game on teh xbox, but I digress.

Replicat is one of this hidden gems that will hopefully be easy to find on Newgrounds.

Gameplay: Simple, yet as it goes on you realize that you can't just rush from planet to planet, you HAVE to slow down, so points stop becoming an issue after a point, and it becomes a surival issue. I reallllly loved it when you introduced the second ship if you get all 7 of the radar planets in level 2.

The planets with the white borders give a great upgrade, makes it easier for navigating around em all.

The Red border planets made it awesome, seeing as how you could destroy the replica's, and infact continue the story.

I haven't had the chance to play the endless mode, but i'm sure i'll do it sometimes ^_^;;

10/10

Sound: Great choice of Background music and sounds. SImple is best in most cases, and this game did not dissapoint.

9/10

Story: Short and Sweet, but would of been nice to have all the story information before you start playing each level, but a simple thing, just stand still and wait for it all to go. Sure you lose some points in the begining, but it's worth it :D

9/10

Length/Replayability:

You only lose points here cause the story is so short, but the endless mode is probably where it's all at, so you get most of it there.

8/10

10+9+9+8 = 36/40 = .9 = 90% = 9/10

Final Score: 9/10

Great work, I look forward to seeing something of a sequel to this in the future ^_^ ((I hope this makes front page too))

May 10, 2009

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot, your wish came true :)

Originally we just wanted to make a one-screen game, but we decided to include at least a small story. In the future we will improve on this aspect!

".........epic"

submission: Doom Triple Pack
date: May 8, 2009

You just combined two games i've been wanting to play for awhile

Heretic and Hexen.

Thats 10/10 right there, and nearly exactly as I remember it. If you could add the expansion packs for em later, that would make this the best freaking game on newgrounds...

Good work, seriously.. i'm gonna be playing these for a loooooooong time.

"AWESOME!!"

date: April 30, 2009

and totally worth the Mature rating :D

Seriously, all the of the artists here had their own amazing style, granted... some styles looked better than others imo (( FleckoGold's part looked alot better than Zombie-Pimp's part, for example)) but the content was pure GOLD

Nogfish: Just random violence against the guy was.... entertaining... but it's one of those things i've seen many times before, so it was kinda meh, imo. However, Keep it up, as im sure you worked hard on it ^_^. 6/10

LeafWorthy: The whole rap dance art style was awesome, music was alittle annoying, but fit very well.. and I was impressed with how smooth the animation was there. Great style, and you should keep it up! 9/10

FleckoGold: You evil fucking genius! Kinda creepy at the end, but at the same time I was laughing my ass off and the art was great! 11/10

Zombie-Pimp: I must say that the detail wasn't all that impressive... I will say that the animations, sound and fight detail was fucking incredible... which will save it from graphic score ((again, i'm a firm believer that content is better than graphics, so it won't hurt against this one overall)) 9/10

35/40 = .875 = 87.5%, rounding up = 90% = 9/10

Good stuff! keep it up, I always love seeing Collabs like this ^_^
